Anne Burrell

Anne W. Burrell was a television personality, a ex-chef in the Institute of Culinary Education and she was formerly an instructor of cooking. Burrell hosts Food Network's Secrets of a Restaurant Chef as well as the host of Worst Cooks in America. Anne Burrell, a Food Network host who has spiky blond hair and an ebullient personality, explains how you can cook dishes that are restaurant quality at home using simple methods. Burrell is a chef who has been in the kitchen for a long time. Burrell is also an experienced chef of New York City's best restaurants. Additionally, she has learned about Italy's food traditions and culture, along with the natural geography. Growing up in the Upstate New York area, Chef Burrell developed a passion of cooking and food early on. The Culinary Institute of America has sparked her interest in the management of restaurants after she graduated with an English/Communications diploma at Canisius College Buffalo NY. The Culinary Institute of America was where I had the most fun time of my life. I could not study or accomplish enough. After graduation, chef Burrell was able to spend a full year in Italy taking classes at Italy's Italian Culinary Institute for Foreigners and working in La Taverna del Lupo in Umbria as well as La Bottega del 30 a one-Michelin star restaurant in Tuscany. When she was in Italy, Chef Burrell acquired an appreciation for and knowledge of Italian food. It had a significant impact on how she views food. Burrell is a well-known ambassador of the Juvenile Diabetic Research Foundation. She also has been on the Garden of Dreams Foundation Advisory Board which assists kids who have challenges. She frequently travels around the nation in her capacity as both a mentor and public speaker in which she speaks about her professional life and the joy of cooking. Anne in all her cooking journey, has said that it's a pleasure to be in a position to share this passion for the food industry with people.
